Change is hard. There are a million excuses to go back to the old, to the known, to the familiar. Change scares the hell out of most of us. The uncertainty, the "not knowingness". The fears, worries, and doubts we were trying so hard to overcome for so long resurface.
"Oh not again", we sigh. We hoped we had left the past behind. What about all the soul searching we did all these years? Travel, books, yoga, meditation, workshops, arts, retreats, spiritual studies. You name it. We've done it.
We were living this great, comfortable life until this new chapter started to unfold. The previous chapter got outdated. The lifestyle, habits or job we had no longer serve us. We have to say goodbye to certain people who don't allow us to grow too.
We learned what we had to. We have to move on. Our body tells us this very loudly. We don't sleep well at night. We stress out easily. We are angry. Unfocused. Distracted. Or melancholic. Even depressed. Oftentimes we get sick. We are unhappy.
Our fear of the new messes up our gut feelings. We may still believe that fear must be right when it says: it's not ok to go in a new direction. Resistance is pulling us back like a dark force. We are exhausting ourselves with doubting thoughts of "should I stay or should I move on?"
But you know the answer already. You feel it in every cell of your body.
When you feel the discomfort of change, it means it's really happening. There's no turning back.
You are not the same person anymore. You're shedding another layer.
And that's the time to reinvent your life. It's time to give new meanings, new purposes to your life. It's time to redefine "happy".
Just think about how you feel when you move forward. How you feel when you dare to take actions and overcome your limitations. How you feel when you try new things that challenge you to the core, and yet you do them anyway.
Do you feel you're coming alive again? Do you feel more confident? More exhilarated? Do you feel proud of yourself? Do you feel joy, fulfillment, and happiness?
Your courage will lead you to the million rewards of the unexpected.
So tell me Lovely Lady, what change do you want to see in your life?
Are you ready to turn to a new chapter where your dreams become your reality?
And when it's about your Love Life, what is the biggest desire of your heart?
How do you redefine YOUR happy?
I would love to hear from you.
